EDITORIAL POLICY / HOW RECORDS WORK
Editorial policy
We use public campaign listings as leads, then store a dated snapshot of factual fields. The source name, chain, requirement labels, reward wording, and source URL are kept separate from our original explanatory copy.
Review states
- Source snapshot: required fields are present, but readers should still verify the official campaign page.
- Needs review: a field is missing or ambiguous and the page is not treated as a complete guide.
- Unverified: the record needs evidence before it should be used for a decision.
Updates and corrections
Every record shows a capture date. When a source changes, we update the local record or mark it for review. Send corrections with the exact page URL and supporting source through the corrections page.
Sponsored content
Any paid placement must be visibly labelled Sponsored. Payment does not remove risk notes or turn an unverified campaign into a recommendation. Paid and affiliate links receive appropriate sponsored and nofollow attributes.
